White Rock Montessori School 

Nestled beside a creek and anchored by an award-winning Discovery Garden and pond on wooded acreage in East Dallas, White Rock Montessori serves 160 students ages three through 8th grade. Founded in 1975, the school is recognized today as one of the city's oldest and finest Montessori programs and was chosen by D Magazine as one of the top 25 private schools in Dallas.

White Rock Montessori offers a world-class academic education, along with an education of the heart that nurtures respect, self-confidence, responsibility, and creativity. The challenging academic program is based on a multi-sensory, individualized, and self-paced course of study that includes literature, creative writing, mathematics, geometry, algebra, history, geography, economics, civics, philosophy, ethics, botany, zoology, the physical sciences, foreign language, the visual and performing arts, music, environmental studies, technology, and physical education. The innovative program encourages students to develop extraordinary skills in goal-setting, time management, independence, and personal accountability. White Rock employs a staff of 25 that includes specialists in the performing and visual arts, music, Spanish, reading, environmental studies, physical education, and technology. It is noted for its committment to integration of the arts and for its outstanding outdoor learning environment, including both a teaching garden and pond on-campus and a 20-acre wilderness environment near Fairfield, Texas. Classroom teachers hold Montessori training credentials on top of their university degrees.
