Happy early Thanksgiving to you all. I shall raise a margarita in your honor while I lounge on the beach in Mexico. Turkey enchiladas here I come.
I have always been rather disappointed that Thanksgiving seems to get zoomed over in the frantic, materialistic dash to Christmas. My boys know that I consider it to be the best holiday of the year.
Abundant food, family, friends, and someone gets to romp on the Dallas Cowboys. But I place the event squarely where it should be, in gratitude and thanks.
I give thanks for my Hubby, kiddos, and family. I give thanks that none of said kiddos is in jail … so far. I give thanks for opportunities to write for this fab publication and beyond.
But most of all, for a national holiday to sit back, between servings of pie, and reflect on all my blessings.
Try it, you'll like it.
