Area pet watch and animal alert programs have been jumping the last week or so, so let's get right to the lost and found animal in need of human help.

SoCo went missing from the 5700 block of Live Oak Street. She is a medium-sized dog of about 45 pounds with short reddish fur and a red collar. Contact Metro Paws Animal Hospital or Black White Read with information about SoCo's whereabouts.

Mama Dog was found on the east side of White Rock Lake after having birthed a litter of puppies. She's tan with some white markings. No further description was available, although her photograph appears after the jump. Contact these folks with inquiries or information about Mama Dog.

An unneutered male white Lab-mix was found near the intersection of Northwest Highway and West Lawther Drive. He's back home now because of a neighbor who went out of her way to help.
