"Reflection of a Man: The Photographs of Stanley Marcus," a book of photography by the late retail icon and one-time Lakewood resident Stanley Marcus served as the center of attention Nov. 12 during an event at the Lakewood Library.

Organized by the Lakewood Library Friends, the evening included a reception and slideshow presentation led by local photographer Allison V. Smith, granddaughter of Marcus, and her mother Jerrie Marcus Smith.

Smith also worked as editor of the book, shifting through more than 5,000 slides given to her by her grandfather.
