The Woodrow Wilson High School community has reason to celebrate this week. Thirty-two students - some graduated and now attending college, and some still enrolled at Woodrow - recently were named AP, or Advanced Placement, Scholars based on exams administered during the spring by the College Board.
AP and pre-AP classes equip high school students for higher education because the curricula equal those of college-level courses. Most colleges grant credits to students who pass AP exams. Students receive a score based on a zero-5 scale.
AP Scholar: Granted to students who receive grades of 3 or higher on three or more AP exams.
