Wilshire Heights zigs when nation zags

So far this morning, I've been running numbers and bleeding from the ears in tallying Wilshire Heights results from last night's elections. I hate numbers.

We'll have a full rundown of multiple races — national and regional — a bit later today, but a couple of interesting totals have emerged so far.

John McCain would have popped the bubbly last night if the election were decided in Wilshire Heights. He accumulated 651 votes in precinct 1231, which overlaps into Lakewood Heights, compared with Barack Obama's 514.

The same trend of bucking the trend holds true in the State House of Representatives District 107 race between Republican Bill Keffer and Democrat Allen Vaught. Precinct 1231 went Keffer, 615-485.

A bit interesting.End of story
